Riverman Cabin Country Lodge is nestled in the tranquil Tonteldoos Valley, just 25 km northeast of Dullstroom and a comfortable two-and-a-half-hour drive from Johannesburg.
This idyllic retreat is perfect for couples seeking a romantic weekend escape, families gathering for quality time together, or friends looking to reconnect away from the pressures of city living. With no mobile reception and Wi-Fi available only at the cottages, you are invited to slow down, reconnect with nature, and truly enjoy the company of loved ones.
The farm offers seven pet-friendly cottages and cabins—six of which are securely fenced—each thoughtfully equipped for a relaxed self-catering stay. Decorated in a style of rustic elegance and charm, every unit features a cosy indoor fireplace, a private outdoor braai area, and complimentary firewood for your first night. In total, we can accommodate up to 28 guests.
Explore the farm on foot or by bicycle and take in the captivating beauty of your surroundings. Wander along our peaceful wattle walk, discover hidden trails through the woods, and immerse yourself in the quiet rhythms of farm life.
Spend your day fishing in our well-stocked trout dam or bass pond, or enjoy a few relaxed swings at our driving range. As evening falls, gather around the fire under a sky full of stars, then wake to the simple pleasure of coffee on the stoep while watching the sunrise.
For moments of quiet reflection, our chapel doors remain open to all who wish to pause, pray, or simply enjoy the stillness.
Nestled in the picturesque Tonteldoos Valley, Riverman Cabin invites you to slow down and step away from the pace of city life. Pet Friendly Fenced Cottages
We are Pet Friendly with 6 of our cottages and cabins that are fenced off (Dragonfly, Pheasant Tail, Golden, Flyinn, Brown and Wigglystone) some with high fencing for larger dogs and others with picket fencing for the little ones.

Each one of our 7 cottages and cabins are rustically elegant and decorated in a unique style with cozy indoor fireplaces as well as private outside braai areas, fully furnished and equipped for a homely self-catering experience and perfect for a couple, families, friends and group bookings.
All of our cottages and Cabins are Pet Friendly with some fenced off cottages to keep cheeky donkeys out and your fur-babies nearby.

Tucked away near the driving range, our Donkey Deli is a cosy, self-service honesty deli designed to make your stay even more comfortable. Stocked with thoughtfully chosen essentials and indulgent treats, it’s the perfect stop for a quick top-up or an unplanned delight.
Browse a selection of local jams, honey, cheeses, snacks, ice cream, cold drinks, and hot beverages, along with practical comforts, self-care essentials, and a few charming locally made curios. You’ll also find treats for our long-eared locals, golf balls and club hire, and books and board games for slow, lazy afternoons.
